The 4th ROK-IORA Partnership Seminar was held on 14 December 2023, under the theme of “Exploring comprehensive and systematic management and response strategies for Marine Debris.” 

This 1,5 track forum brought together policymakers and experts from ROK, IORA Member States and Dialogue Partners to share experiences, best practices, and ideas in dealing with waste segregation and plastic recycle. 

During the visit, IORA Secretary General had a productive discussion and exchange of views with H.E. Mr. Chung Byung-won, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the ROK, on the future collaboration between IORA and ROK. 

Joined IORA as Dialogue Partner in 2018, ROK is committed to continue supporting the work of IORA to achieve sustainable growth in Indian Ocean region.
