The African Maritime Forces Summit (AMFS) was held from 23 to 26 June 2025 in Pointe aux Piments, Mauritius. Organized by the United States, this summit brought together naval officers and coast guard personnel from across Africa and partner nations.

The event's primary goal was to build professional relationships and develop collective solutions to shared maritime security challenges. Discussions covered operational cooperation, capacity building, and addressing threats such as piracy, trafficking, and illegal fishing in African waters.

IORA's engagement at this summit was strategic, bridging the Indian Ocean and African maritime security communities. It highlighted the interconnected nature of maritime challenges and the importance of trans-regional dialogue.
