The Third Maritime Information Sharing Workshop (MISW) was held from 3 to 5 November 2025 in Gurugram, India. Hosted by the Information Fusion Centre – Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR), this workshop focused on the technical and procedural aspects of achieving collective maritime domain awareness.

At this workshop, Mr Shivraj Dhuppe, Director at IORA delivered an insightful address on the evolving maritime security landscape in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). The presentation highlighted the urgent and ongoing need for collective awareness, policy harmonisation, and institutional cooperation among IORA Member States to ensure a secure, rules-based Indian Ocean.

IORA's prominent speaking role at this operational-level workshop underscored its leadership in setting the strategic direction for regional information sharing. The address reinforced the critical link between technical information fusion and high-level policy coordination. This engagement was pivotal in aligning the efforts of operational centres like the IFC-IOR with IORA's broader political mandate, ensuring that information-sharing initiatives effectively support regional security outcomes.
