The Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA), in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, will convene the IORA Workshop on Enhancing Biosecurity Practices in Inland Aquaculture Farms from 18–21 November 2025 in Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia.

The workshop aims to strengthen regional cooperation on biosecurity management in aquaculture, enhance technical knowledge, and promote sustainable aquaculture practices among IORA Member States. It will gather government representatives, aquaculture experts, and development partners to share experiences, exchange best practices, and explore opportunities for collaboration on aquatic animal health management.

The event will feature both in-person participation in Padang and virtual engagement for IORA Member States and Dialogue Partners. It will serve as a capacity-building and knowledge-sharing platform to align national biosecurity programs with regional sustainability goals.
