The Secretariat participated in the National Research Week, under the theme “Uniting Research, Industry and Innovation", hosted by the Minister of Tertiary Education, Science and Research, Dr Kaviraj Sukon, and coordinated by the Mauritius Research and Innovation Council (MRIC), at the University of Mauritius’ Reduit campus.

During the Opening ceremony, the Minister explained that the inaugural event is aimed bringing together all Mauritian national universities and research institutions, while promoting the participation of private tertiary institutions with a view to promote the exchange of information and foster meaningful research partnerships among researchers.
